Happy Birthday Ladies

It's my niece's and also Pele's birthday today. As per previous years, we had a small celebration over at my sister's place.

The birthday girls. Happy birthday ladies!!!

Needless to say, the kids enjoyed the most especially when there are goodie bags and cakes involved.

One picture for the family.

Bother Me No More

Used to bother me alot when:

1) He goes out leaving me either alone at home or I go along and stare at the PC for a few hours straight doing nothing.

2) He is always on the phone yakking away when he has practically nothing to say to me.

3) He never makes an effort to suggest dinner outside. But suddenly asked me along for dinner with his friends.

4) I always only get like 50% attention when others get 100%.

5) He has the energy to stay up whole night gambling but falls asleep the moment he reaches home at 7pm.

Now? It doesn't bother me as much anymore:

1) He go out, I stay home. Or I go out myself. Used to want to spend all my time with him, but now not really. Used to feel really lousy when he goes out and leave me at home. Now I don't feel like that anymore.

2) Don't talk? Don't talk then. I have run out of conversational topics. Think it's a good thing, talk less, fight less.

3) I don't want dinner at all, so eat where also no difference. Used to suggest having dinner or supper, now I am not suggesting at all. Used to be extremely happy when he suggest going somewhere, but now, don't feel like going anywhere anymore.

4) Used to fight for 100% attention, now I just let it be. Maybe I am also giving 50% attention, I don't know.

5) Go ahead and sleep. I will keep myself occupied without him.

Am I happier this way? I don't know. I just know that this is the only way I don't feel miserable or sad. So yeah, I guess it's the best for all of us.

Phenomenon

It was Friday about 6.20pm or so in the evening at my office. My colleague told us to go look at something outside, and this was what we saw.

The picture is definitely not doing justice to the beautiful sight which greeted us. It was like a group of small pockets of rainbow dancing in the sky. It was awesome.

DIY #3

Not sure if it's clear enough to see.........
Light pink base with silver french tips. Simple and not too loud.

DIY #2

Had this on for the past few weeks already, just didn't get down to taking a picture of it until now. Flowers, my all time favourite.

Marble Nail Art

Did this at Far East Plaza on Tuesday. I like but very time consuming. They call it marble design, using a combination of nail colours dripped in water and you submerge your finger into the water to get the unique design. Complicated.

Will be my next DIY project!!!

Sucks Big Time

The e-brochure looks good eh? That's what marketing is all about.

Went for the 1-for-1 BBQ buffet dinner yesterday. Sucks big time. The place is not even anywhere near a courtyard but instead at one of their ulu ulu function rooms which they just placed tables and chairs and the buffet line. Don't even have a counter, just some makeshift tables covered with white tablecloth with a credit card swiping machine connected.

Food was bad. They had only a grand total of probably 20 items INCLUDING appetizers, main course and dessert. The most impressive dish was probably the baby lobster which they only bring out about 10 everytime. So picture this, people actually started to wait at the buffet line area, just so that they could actually get the baby lobster when they bring out from the kitchen. And everytime they do so, whatever was brought out would have been taken by the first 2-3 people who have been hanging around waiting

It was bad, really bad. To make matters worse, they only served iced water. No other drinks available at the buffet line, just hot coffee and tea.

I had expected alot more from a hotel buffet. So what it's 1-for-1? For the price we paid yesterday, Sakura buffet would have won hands down.

Shokudo - Japanese Food Bazaar

Have been wanting to try this new eating place at Raffles City Shopping Centre since early Feb. Finally went today after much planning and talking.

Basically, the place has a Marche kind of concept, only it serves Japanese cuisine instead. And instead of a flip card, they give you this "reserve" piece of thing to put on your table to indicate to others that the table is taken while you go get your food.

Japanese style bacon & cheese omelette. Mixed mushroom and vegetables soup.

Katsudon. Teppanyaki sprouts.

Soft shell crab with tempura sauce, one of the best fried soft shell crab I ever had. Grilled scallops, chicken and bacon prawn.

Iced yuzu honey tea, absolutely heavenly, I love it!!! Banana crepe, nothing fantastic but was good too.

To be honest, almost everything we ordered was good but some was just exceptionally good!!! Go early though cos the queue starts at about 6pm plus and gets real long too. Pricing is quite reasonable and not too ex.

Another satisfied meal. And thanks for the pressie, I love it. Happy.
