Catching Up Post

I have been neglecting this blog for the longest time, blame it on the development of the cyber world. With Facebook, it just becomes so much easier to share as compared to painstakingly updating each blog post with words and photos.

But that is no excuse as I know not all my readers are on my FB list, so yes I am determined to resuscitate this blog starting from this very post.....

Think I did mention sometime ago (6 months to be precise!!) that we were travelling to Port Dickson for a short getaway during the New Year. Promised pictures but that never came, so here it is...........

We drove up in 2 separate cars together with Kerry and Lena.

Stopped at A&W for their awesome rootbeer float and lunch!!!

Finally we arrived!!! and checked into our rooms which was haven to us for the next 2 nights.

Walk out to the balcony which faces the sea.

Open space bathroom with standing shower.....

.....and also a bath tub which we soaked and soaked and soaked!!!

Daybed next to the window which can accommodate 2 kids comfortably.

With 2 reclining chairs which you can relax on in the morning with coffee and newspapers or a book.

Ahhhh.......sunset.....

We had DIY steamboat in our room on the first night!!! This was definitely the highlight of the trip cos everything was brought there by us. We stopped to get the food in JB and kept everything in a icebox and drove to PD!!

The food was great, chilli made by Lena's dad was AWESOME and company was the best. Would do it all over again if given a chance.

Just to show exactly how high the water is during high tide. You can practically jump off the balcony and into the water for a swim if you want to.

After breakfast, we went to the animal farm area which is open in the morning!! You can touch and interact with the farm pets and kids will love it!

Of course there are sea sports and activities you can join or just enjoy a walk down the beach.

It was a great short getaway which is really for recharging. Oh and did I mention about the beautiful sunset like this one?
