Goodbye 2008

2008 has been an ok year for me.

Career - No major hiccups, changed job, stable but stress level is high.
Health - Not so good, fell sick quite often. Hopefully will improve next year.
Family - Excellent. Kids are healthy and well.
Love - Ok, better and improving compared to 2007.
Friends - Not meeting up some close friends as often as I would like to. Hope to change that.
Luck - Hmmm.... not so good. Lost at MJ more than winning. Need to change this too.
R&R - Not good!!! No doubt travelled to Holland and Japan but it was for work and not exactly with hubby or friends. I want to go beach resort next year!!! Batam not counted.
Memorable - Ink job.

So yeah, I guess that pretty much sums up the year for me. Farewell 2008.

Making Merry

Yun Yi placed her socks at her bed in hope that Santa Claus will give her a pressie for her good behaviour this year.

We were so tickled by this sight!! Ok, I promise to get her a proper stocking next year!!! Luckily the pressie we got her is small in size and fits nicely in this.

Seeing what his sister did, my little boy also followed!!!

Aiyoh, they really cute lor. The innocence of children.

She's So Grown Up

It just suddenly hit me one day that my little girl has grown so much so fast.

I was eating noodles in the room while using the com and when I just finished my food, Yun Yi walked in. Seeing I had finished my food, she just walked over to me, reached out, took the bowl and told me "Mummy, I'll bring this out for you."

My little girl is really sweet.

Liar Liar

My son finally gave up his addiction to his pacifier. Because the pacifier mysteriously disappeared from the house. He cried for a whole 3 minutes and finally believed us when we told him cockroaches took his pacifier away.

I was the huge cockroach. I threw the pacifier down the rubbish chute.

I am so glad I did. Hey, a mother has got to do what she has gotta do right?

Oh We Love Him So Very Much!!!!

Finally it was time to watch the much awaited concert. Andy Lau Wonderful World Concert 2008 on Friday night.

Ok ok, I know we are all grown ups and should try to control abit. But we just love him so very much. He is super duper handsome can? The concert was more than awesome, it was so great that I cannot find a word to describe. The crowd and atmosphere was electrifying and he is so charismatic on stage. The last concert he held here about 7 years ago was great, but he had outdone himself once again on Friday.

There was a tinge of dissapointment when the concert was ending, it was one of those which you wished it will just go on and on............

Animal Business

Off to the zoo we went on Sunday together with the kids.

Hubby prepared sandwiches while I got the little ones prepared. All time favourite Pocky and Hello Panda was part of the menu.

Armed with the map, we were determined to cover everything (almost!).

Say hello to the gigantic seal which greeted us near the entrance!!

We managed to catch the feeding session of the polar bears and witnessed the bear catching a live fish in the water.

Situated in the middle of a reservoir, the view is simply awesome.

One of my favourites, the butterfly enclosure where you have butterflies fluttering all around you.

They had bats hanging around as well.

Finally we arrives at the newly opened "Rainforest Kidz World" where they had a water playground for the kid to soak in the fun (or get soaked.... same lah!). Unfortunately we had alot more to cover and the sky was starting to get dark, thus the kids did't get to play in the water. Next time then.

Highlight of the day, pony ride!!!

$6 per ride!! Expensive and the whole ride was probably only about a minute. But both of them enjoyed it tremendously!

Ahhh..... nothing better than Ben & Jerry's ice-cream after a whole day of walking and heat.

What News?

It's just so depressing to watch the news nowadays. All you hear is retrenchment, financial tsunami, terrorist attacks, demonstrations, closing of airports, change of goverment (AGAIN!!??!!) and weather reports.

Am so looking forward to the long weekend. It's been yet another long week. And of course next Friday is the day! Woohoo.....
