The Leap Year

It's February 29th!! The date which only occurs once in 4 years.

Quite sad for those born today isn't it, you know, only really celebrating yoiur birthday once in 4 years. But then again, these peeps are special in this way too.

I wanna watch the show "The Leap Years". I am a sucker for romantic movies lah, hahaha!!

Life Is So Fragile

One of my colleagues was hospitalised yesterday and diagnosed with leukemia today. So unexpected and sudden. We was still looking well when I saw him yesterday morning but is in critical condition today.

I guess we can never take our health for granted. All the more we should treasure our time with our loved ones and live our lives with no regrets.

Hopefully he will pull through this and regain his health soon.

Decisions

I guess all of us are forced to make decisions everyday. Big decisions, small decisions and sometimes even life changing ones as well. What constitutes a good decision?

We usually decide either rationally or emotionally. Of course, there's nothing as a right or wrong choice, just good or bad ones. But when it involves someone else other than ourselves, it makes it all the more complicated than it already is.

No matter what the outcome is, choices are never easy to make. But when a choice is made, just go ahead and make it work against all odds. I believe everything happens for a reason and there's always something to learn from that experience itself.

I would just want you to be happy my friend. And happiness may not be immediate but is definite. Sometimes you just need time, effort and a little faith that you can make it work. Whatever it is, you can count on me to be there for you yeah? I am just a phone call away.

Are You Better Than A 10 Year Old?

My niece was having some problems completing her mathematics assignment which came in a form of a sample test paper. She was totally lost when it came to the problem sums section which as usual carried the most marks. My sis was just as lost as her, doesn't help.

As I guided her through the questions, it suddenly dawned on me that I seemed to have it easier when I was her age. Tell me, did we ever had such questions when WE were in Primary 4? And don't tell me you can't solve the below questions, because it's only meant for 10 year olds!!

1) Donald, Eddy and Frank spent $532 to buy a present for their mother. Donald paid $80 less than Eddy. Frank paid twice as much as Eddy. How much did Frank pay?

2) There were 2780 boys and 2780 girls in a Dance Club. After 4 times as many boys as girls dropped out, there were 2070 more girls left as boys. How many boys were left in the Dance Club?

So........ Are you better than a 10 year old? Hahahaha!!! And yes, I did get the correct answers for the above questions.

P.S. I Love You

Went for the movie on Saturday with a really close friend of mine. Show was good. Really enjoyed it. Touching in a different kind of way and definitely lets you reflect on alot of things during the show.

Went clubbing at DBL O with a couple more buddies and boy did we have a hell of a great time!! Retro rocks totally and yes, booze was cheap. Definitely going back again soon, it's a date yeah??

Love Bite

Yun Yi was bullied by her little brother this morning.

They were sitting side by side on the sofa watching TV while he's munching on his crackers. She wanted a piece and just reach over to take one from his bowl without asking or telling him. Boy he was angry and gave her a bite on her arm. I only saw the bruised teeth marks when the maid told me about it.

Needless to say, he got a lecture from all of us. I wasn't around when it happened, so no point punishing him physically when I found out cos it wouldn't mean anything to him. Sigh...... no wonder they say it's the terrible two stage.

This post is oh so overdue. Been so busy since CNY eve till now that I didn't even have time to log in at all. Went out everyday and night. Tired.

Flavour Of The Month

My little boy has been harassing my Eeyore for the past month.

Oh yes, that poor donkey.

And I haven't even mentioned the fact that he tries to get Eeyore to be his passenger on his "car" as he drives it around. Usually, Eeyore will just try it's best to sit still but the minute my boy "cup corner" poor Eeyore becomes the casualty.

As usual, my ingenious maid decided to give both of them some help. She used 2 clothes peg to clip Eeyore's ears to my little boy's sleeves!!! I dunno which is worse - Eeyore getting it's ears clipped and getting motion sickness from all that rides or falling down the car every 15 seconds or so.

Point to note: No more huge ass stuffed toys. Before some dubious "Anti Cruelty To Stuffed Animals" starts knocking on my door.

DIY #1

DIY project last week. Wah.... so proud of myself. Wahahaha!!! Hopefully more to come if I have the time.

Plan ABC

My little boy had been trying to get his hands on the CNY cookies ever since we bought it back.

Plan A: Standing infront of the shelf and pointing to the cookies going "mum mum, want" while nodding is head vigorously. Failed.

Plan B: Bringing the house down with his loud cries and attempting to flood the kitchen with his tears while trying to get us to open the cookies for him. Failed.

Plan C: Decided to take matters into his own hands. He opened the kitchen drawer where we had a small screwdriver kept, took it out and attempted to pry open the cookie containers. Caught red handed by the maid. Failed.

Hang in there my little boy, only a few days before CNY. And yeah, this also includes the chocolates in the refrigerator.
