Little Celebration

Yep, bought a cake for him yesteday to celebrate his birthday. And this dear boy of mine actually shook his head to let us know that he don't want to eat when we fed him the cake initially!!! Alamak!! Anyway, after a few tries, he was definitely more than happy to lick all the cream from the spoon.

Oh yes, he shares the same birth date as his uncle too. So my dear brother, happy birthday to you too!!!

Happy 1st Birthday - Yong Ye

My little boy has grown so much over the past 11 months. He never fails to amaze and amuse us. And ever since he starts crawling, he will crawl to us at his fastest speed oncew we step into the house in the evenings after work.

A very happy and naughty baby. Always laughing and smiling as well as always putting everything he grabs hold of into his mouth. Opens all the cupboards, drawers and ransacks his sisters toys in her room. Very impatient when it cmes to food and gets all grumpy and fierce when he doesn't get his way.

As he turns one, he's able to stand unsupported for about 10 seconds or so before he gets lazy and sits down. Able to take 3 steps before losing his balance. Always closes the door behind him whenever he crawls into my bedroom. Mumbles, talks and grumbles alot when we ignore him, just that no one understands him yet.

Happy first birthday my little boy. May you be as happy always.

Happy Birthday Hubby!!!

Today's hubby's birthday but me flying to Bangkok early morning liao lor!!! Thanks for being so nice about me not being with you on your birthday.

Anyway, went for dinner with Yun Yi on Tuesday for an early celebration.

And Yun Yi finally could fit into this pair of custom made shoes bought 3 years ago!! Boy she has really grown.

Went to Swensen's for dinner.... again!!! We seem to favour Swensen's for birthday celebrations. Probably because they have child friendly menus.

And ended with what else but photo taking sessions. Almost blinded the whole restaurant with my flashes. Will bring Yong Ye the next time round when he has more teeth. Promise.

And what's the most exciting part about birthdays?? Pressie opening time!! Bought hubby a wallet. About time to change one anyway. Shaver is next!!! The one from the ex-gf WILL be gone soon!!!

And finally a birthday wish from the kids. Happy birthday darling. Love ya!!

Tea Garden

Know where this place is? It's this stand alone garden kinda place with a MacDonald's within the compound a Far East Flora is also located here. It's been no less than 10 years since I last stepped in here!!!

This tea gaden place was a common hangout ground for me when I *ahem* excused myself *ahem* from school back then. Was sharing with "Cow" online about this place which I revisited this moning and he told me the same thing!!! He used to go there too when he *ahem* excused himself from school. So parents, if your child is attending a school somewhere near the vicinity, you'll know where to "catch" them should they not be found in school. Expecially if the boys are dressed in all white uniform and girls with purple skirt.

Yummy!!! Long time since we had MacDonald's for brekkie.

Play corner to keep the young ones occupied.

No shoes allowed.

Great to spend time alone with Yun Yi while her brother stays home.

The trip was definitely worth it. All the way from Woodlands to Queensway just to have MacDonald's brekkie?!?!?! Anyway, this place haven't changed at all. It's like it stood still in time while everything else has changed. Nice, really.

First Haircut

You know how I hate boys/guys/men with long hair, so that explains why I have been so bothered by Yong Ye's hair. It was starting to get really long at the sides and was already covering almost half his ear!! Wahahaha..... yes yes, looks totally like a little girl.

Anyway, I wasn't the only one bothered by it, my mama couldn't stand the sight of it when she was at my place on Thursday. So she called me while I was at work in the morning to tell me that she's bringing Yong Ye to the salon to get his hair cut.

Was told that he was pretty ok most of the time when the auntie was doing her job at the salon. Hated the plastic sheet they put around him, so Pele (yeah yeah, my maid) had to hold him while she sits on the chair. Almost to the end, he started to cry!!!

Guess most little boys hate to get their hair cut. Gilrs are quite ok, so most probably because of the razor thing used for boys. The sound, shaving close to the scalp and the falling hair makes it scary for them.

Another first which I missed. I hate it when work brings me away so much from my kids. Darn.

My Little Cheeky Chick Chick

Do It The Right Way

Babies never fail to surprise me. Yong Ye learnt how to get down from the sofa and my bed the right way. No one taught him, he just figured it out himself!!!

Getting bored being left alone on the sofa. Decision made to join us on the floor.

Testing waters........

Wondering why are we snapping away at him. Hmm..... want to get down of the sofa so interesting meh??

Butt out and legs kicking. Does it help??

Almost there....try harder!! Look at his daddy's hands on standby to catch hold of him in case he falls.

Ahhh.... finally on firm ground.
